ANDREW JUHASZ

My name is Andrew Juhasz (@By.Andrew James) and I’m from a small town in New England. I’ve been a licensed barber for 7 years, but recently found my place in the industry through learning, educating, and photography. My obsession with what we do stems from the constant ability to grow and evolve. To be apart of this year’s freshman class was such an honor as I’ve looked up to all previous participants . Working on this project over the course of the past few years has pushed me out of my comfort zone of creating, and for that I’ll be forever grateful.  In the future I hope to be consistently traveling and educating with a focus on my 2 passions, haircutting & photography, as well as seeing my shop and team grow back home.

I feel honored and blessed to be apart of the the sharp fade freshman class it was a huge milestone for me. I haven’t been super adamant with posting on Instagram in the past so this was slightly out of my comfort zone but it was motivating and definitely gave me some confidence!

In five years I see myself at 6Throne grinding and hoping to be apart of the opening of a second shop.

When making my submission I loved the freedom to make it my own and having full creative control, It’s something as a barber you don’t get to do everyday!

SHAI SHAI

📍 Honolulu, HI

Aloha, I’m Shai Shai and I am from Maui, HI. I’m humbled and honored to be a part of something special for the future of our industry, and being able to create a vessel for our creative hearts to excel in! I plan to continue finding knowledge and influence, and creating lifelong and healthy relationships in the industry—to heal the world through our craft, breaking generational trauma and stereotypes by simply being ourselves. We are a direct product of those we look up to; it’s special that I got to be a model for one of my inspirations, Bebe at the previous years’ ROH who encouraged me to be a part of Sharpfade Freshman. He was able to show me a feeling inside—pride, strength, and beauty; resulting in a product of determination, resilience, and perseverance as an artist. It’s important as artists to lift each other up, honor those before, during, and after us and I’d like to thank him and Byrd Mena for this series of events.
